Set timers, check the news, control your smart home gadgets, and more with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.
Over time, mix and combine speakers to create the setup you prefer. Simply connect when you’re ready and enjoy music across your house and beyond.
You’ll need the Sonos app to set up the Sonos One (Gen 2) because it’s a Wi-Fi-enabled speaker (available on iOS and Android). The entire process took about 10 minutes, including connecting the speaker to my Wi-Fi router and connecting it to my streaming services. You may also use the ‘TruePlay’ tuning procedure, which claims to optimize sound depending on your room’s acoustics.
Once properly set up, the app is pretty simple to use, with tabs for fast access to recently played music, playlists and curations in your connected streaming services, and Sonos One settings. There’s also a Search option that enables you to use keywords to search across all linked services and your own playlists.
