After you’ve unboxed Beam, the first step is to put it up, either by setting it on a piece of furniture beneath your TV or by using our custom mount to affix it to the wall.
Beam includes two cords: one for electricity and one for connecting the soundbar to your television (If your TV does not have an ARC or eARC port, use the included Optical Adapter). Begin by installing the Sonos app on your smartphone or tablet and following the on-screen instructions.
Touching your mobile device to the near-field communication (NFC) tag on the top of the soundbar is all it takes to connect to WiFi. After that, the Sonos app will walk you through pairing Beam with your TV remote. A Word About Packaging
Beam (Gen 2) is the first Sonos home cinema product to debut with our new sustainable packaging, which includes a more compact box design to simplify shipments, premium uncoated kraft paper with illustrations that use fewer inks, the elimination of EPE foam, and a gift box made of sustainably sourced paper.
In the palm of your hand, the Sonos app acts as a control panel for your speaker (and your complete system). You’ll be able to navigate the app with ease once you’ve learnt a few simple icons.
