The Sonos system was created to be adaptable to your listening habits. And, as pervasive as phones are in our lives, it’s occasionally refreshing to forget about them. That doesn’t mean the music has to come to an end. Our speakers all offer touch controls or buttons that let you control your experience without having to use the app.
To start or stop the video – To play or pause material, press the Play/Pause button once.
Speakers must be grouped – To have Beam play what your last active speaker is now playing, press and hold the Play/Pause button.
Changing the loudness – To lower the volume, press the button to the left of Play/Pause. To increase the volume, press the button to the right of Play/Pause.
To go forward or backward – To skip to the next track, swipe right across the touch controls. To return to the previous track, swipe left across the touch controls.
Touch controls may also be turned off in the Sonos app. Tap System from the Settings menu, choose Beam from the list of products, and then turn off Touch Controls in the Hardware section.
AirPlay 2 and Direct Control – You have a few alternatives if you want to stream to Sonos without leaving your favorite app.
Spotify, Audible, Amazon Music, Pandora, and more services all have apps that allow you manage Sonos directly. Simply seek for a button that allows you to play music through an external speaker. If you have an iOS device, such as an iPhone or iPad, or a Mac, you may use Apple AirPlay 2 to play sounds from your favorite applications on Sonos.
